Craig "Butch" Grall, 62, Rolling Prairie, died Friday (Sept. 25, 2009) at home.

He was born Aug. 22, 1947, in South Bend to Clem and Gertrude (Kujawski) Grall. He was married Nov. 19, 1966, at St. John Kanty Catholic Church in Rolling Prairie to Shirley Ziemkowski, who survives.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, receiving the Vietnam Service medal. He was a member of the Pioneers. He retired from Ameritech after working as a telephone cable splicer for 30 years.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Grall; his parents; daughter, Regina Kring, South Bend; son, Mark Grall, Rolling Prairie; sister, Cynthia (Paul) Means, Columbia City, Ind.; brother, Timothy (Ruth) Grall, Columbia City; three nephews, Eric (Carmen) Means, Glenview, Ill., Phillip Means, Chicago, and Danny Grall, Columbia City.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Cutler Funeral Home, La Porte, with the funeral at noon. Private interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
