Bruce Gordon Rohde

SOUTH BEND -- Bruce G. Rohde, 67, of Logansport, died at 5:22 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, in Howard Regional Health Systems, Kokomo.
He was born on June 15, 1939 in South Bend to Arthur Rohde and Elsie (White) Rohde. He was also preceded in death by brother, Gerald Rohde; and grandson, Jeremy Rohde.
Mr. Rohde retired in 2004 as a scale technician for System Scales Corporation of Indianapolis. He was active in Babe Ruth baseball where he was past president of the league. He loved Notre Dame Sports. Bruce was an outgoing person who knew many people. He never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything. He especially enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On September 28, 1957, in South Bend, he married Jeanette Jones, who survives. Also surviving are sons and daughter-in-law, Randy and Dorinda Rohde, Douglas and Barbara Rohde, all of Logansport; daughters, Connie Somers and her husband, William, and Diana Rohde and her companion, Chris Hizer of Logansport; grandchildren, Jason Pearson, Misty Rohde, Steven Rohde, Kenneth Rohde, Douglas Rohde, Jennifer Stotler and Kayla Somers; great-grandchildren, Braxton Stotler, Mackenzie Stotler, Maddy Rohde and Dylan Pearson; stepsister, Sandi Honcho of South Bend; sisters-in-law, Beverly Freshour and her husband, Eugene, and Delores Young, all of South Bend.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Kroeger Funeral Home, Logansport, with Jeff Strite officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Kroeger Funeral Home.
