Josette Newsom Kluth (class of l957/58) died suddenly of a heart attack on June 23, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. 
She was predeceased by her husband, Edd Kluth, in 2009. 
They are survived by their children Sherry Austin and David Kluth, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild all of Las Vegas.

Josette Stevens was adopted by her Aunt & Uncle Ethel Grout and Charles Newson.

Josette Kluth, "Day Day", 72 of Las Vegas passed away Thursday afternoon, July 23, 2011. She was born Nov. 7, 1938, in South Bend, Ind.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Donald and Darlene Stevens, Lorraine and Buck Brown, and Harry and Cleo Stevens; her children, Sherry and Daniel Austin and David Kluth; grandchildren, Jason and Jenna Austin; and great-granddaughter, Aubrie Austin-Elliott.

She was a loving wife of over 50 years, respectful daughter, kind sister, giving mother, great-grandmother and a loyal friend. We were all fortunate enough to have in our daily lives and cherished the time we had with her. Josette lead her life by example and a firm believer in God. She was a woman of great strength and was admired by all who knew her. She was active in many community service organizations and was currently a volunteer at The Assistant League of Las Vegas.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate Josette's life at 2 p.m. Monday, July 11, at Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 7811 Vegas Drive.

Donations can be given in memory of Josette Kluth to The Assistance League of Las Vegas.
