SOUTH BEND - Sharon R. Grisanti, 62, of South Bend, passed away at 7:55 AM Monday, December 28, 2009 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
She worked many years at Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse. After retirement she was employed at Motel 6. Sharon was born on August 7, 1947 in South Bend, IN to Frank and Athelene (Wyford) Springer and lived here most of her life. On October 16, 1971, in South Bend, IN she married Joseph C. Grisanti, who survives. Along with her ex-husband, Joseph C. Grisanti, she is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Donald Johnston) Clark of Walkerton; son, Joseph (Laura) Grisanti of South Bend; three grandchildren, Lauren Clark, and Annie Grisanti and Tiffany Grisanti; one sister, Susan (Richard Leslie) Koloszar of South Bend; and one brother, Frank (Linda) Springer of South Bend. Her daughter, Lisa Ann Crouch preceded her in death.
Sharon loved to play Bingo and enjoyed spending time on the computer.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Brian Baughman will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. IN. Friends may visit with the family from Noon until time of services on Saturday in the funeral home.
