Michael S. Reddy Sr., 57, of Misty Harbor Court, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 16, in his residence.
Michael was born on Dec. 3, 1946, in South Bend, Ind., to Charles and Hannah (Morran) Reddy . On Feb. 11, 1967, in South Bend he married Cynthia L. Brim. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sue Rea.
Michael is survived by his wife; sons, Michael S. (Tricia) Reddy Jr. of Osceola, and Mark (Tracey) Reddy of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Michelle (J.D.) Smith of Mishawaka; a brother, Dennis Reddy of South Bend; sisters, Mary Reddy of Kalamazoo, Mich., Anne (Bob) Dolembo of Michigan City, Ind., Patty Reddy of Edwardsburg, Mich., Kathy (Gary) White of Edwardsburg, Mich.; grandchildren, Michael S. Reddy III, Mary Kathryn Reddy , Maddison Reddy , Tatum Reddy , Makenna "Jane" Smith.
Friends may visit on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 20 in New Beginning Church of the Nazarene, 19688 Kern Road, South Bend at 11 a.m. There will be visitation one hour prior. Interment services will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend, where VFW post #360 will conduct military honors.
Michael graduated from South Bend Central High School class of 1964. He was a drill sergeant in the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam conflict. He was a member at New Beginning Church of the Nazarene. He was the owner of Michael Reddy Insurance Agency. Michael supported The Gideon Bible Institution, the National Association of Health Underwriters. He also supported Nazarene Mission Society and Prison Fellowship. Michael was very active in coaching the Osceola Little League and his church softball team.
