Col. William R. Turner

SOUTH BEND — Col. William Robertson Turner, 73, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of South Bend, died Monday in Wilford Hall, USAF Medical Center, San Antonio. Col. Turner retired in 1967 from the Air Force after 22 years of service. He was born May 3, 1922, in South Bend. He is survived by his wife, Margaret P. Turner of San Antonio.

He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Indiana University and Johns Hopkins University.

Graveside services and burial will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Arlington (Va.) National Cemetery. Porter Loring Mortuary, San Antonio, is in charge of arrangements.
