Ralph was from South Bend In. He was the son of Charles (immigrated from Russia) and Lena (immigrated from Poland) (Mentzel) Roth and brother to Dorothy, Betty and Morris Roth. His parents were wed in 1919 in South Bend, IN. He attended the University of Michigan but left to become a pilot and join the war effort.
Ralph served as a Flight Officer on B-25J #43-27848, 100th Bombardment Squadron, 42nd Bomber Group, 13th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
It is currently unknown where he resided prior to the war.
