Rebecca “Becky” (Rhue) Dooley

Mrs. Dean (Rebecca) Dooley Rebecca R. Dooley, 61, of Scotts-dale, Ariz., formerly of South Bend, died on July 5, at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born April 18, 1922, in Marion, Ind., and lived in South Bend from 1936 until 1944. She then lived in Albion and Marshall, Mich., before moving to Arizona in 1977. On May 25, 1945, in Fort Wayne, as Rebecca Rhue, she married Dean S. Dooley, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Miss Jane Dooley of San Diego and Miss Kyle Dooley of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Kevin J. of Boulder, Colo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rogers of Sedona, Ariz., and Mrs. Jane Somers of Indiana. 

Services were held July 7 at the St. Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church, Paradise Valley, Ariz. The Messinger Mortuary & Chapel of Scottsdale was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church Scholarship Fund or to ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), Sherman Oaks, Calif.

She was a member of the Heard Museum Guild, Arizona State University Art Museum, Botanical Gardens, Paradise Valley Tennis Club, Kappa Kappa Gamma national sorority and also was a national officer in the Kappa Kappa Gamma National Alumni Association.
