Virginia R. (Pendl) Sult

Virginia R. Sult, 79, of Lynn Street, South Bend, Ind., died following an illness at 2:47 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4. Mrs. Sult was born Aug. 11, 1922, in South Bend, to the late John and Nellie (Smith) Pendl, and was a lifetime area resident.

On July 15, 1945, in South Bend, as Virginia R. Pendl, she married Ora Richard Sult, who preceded her in death Jan. 31, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Pendl. She is survived by three daughters, Dianne (Bill) Unrue of New Carlisle, Ind., Susan (Clint) Naragon and Beth (Don) Foster. both of South Bend: a son. Richard Dale (Penny) Suit of Pompano Beach, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Norma (Richard) Dorman of South Bend. Coral (Robert) Hibiske and Ruth (Donald) Hock, both of Granger, Ind., and by two brothers. Paul (Betty) and John (Betty) Pendl. both of South Bend.

Mrs. Suit worked with her husband for many years in their business Suit Well Drilling. She was the German Township 4-H leader for girls for many years. She also taught Sunday school and was involved in many church programs at Calvary Baptist Church. She faithfully served the Lord throughout her life.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. B. in Lakeside Baptist Church, with Rev. Vito Ruth officiating. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Aug. 7, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, South Bend.
