Mary L. (McLouth) Anderson

May 18, 1922 - Feb. 17. 2005 

Mary L. Anderson, 82, formerly of River Park, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2005, at 10:15 p.m. in Saint Joseph Care Center West, South Bend. Mary was born on May 18, 1922, in Ray, IN, to Donald V. and Lora (Rohrbaugh) McLouth. On April 7, 1946, in Fortville, Indiana, she married Robert O. Anderson, who preceded her in death on July 21, 1998.

Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kristin A.F. and Link Bonforte of Belle Mead, N.J.; by two Thomas E. (Evelyn) Anderson of South Bend, and Raymond E. (Maria) Anderson of Palatine, IL, sons and their wives, Thomas E. and Evelyn (Mooney) Anderson of South Bend, and Raymond E. and Maria (DiPrima) Anderson of Palatine, IL; and by six grand-children, Daniel C. Forsyth, Nicholas R. Anderson, Ian M. Anderson, Erica G. Anderson, Eric E. Anderson and Alexis V. Anderson.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, including Virginia Ewart on January 3, 2005.

Mary was a member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church where she had served as a deacon. She served as a Campfire Girl's leader for 10 years and a Cub Scout leader for five years, and past president of the Parent Teacher Association, having served for five years. Mary was previously employed by South Bend Toy for several years and at NIPSCO where she had met her husband, Robert. 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2004, in Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, 115 S. Frances Street, South Bend, IN 46617, with Rev. James B. Miller officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, and in the church on Monday one hour prior to the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Sunnyside Presbyterian Church.
