Gene William Ferguson
Gene William Ferguson, 60, of 51167 North Shore Drive, Elkhart, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka. Larry Settle, minister of the Pleasant View Church of Christ. Elkhart, will officiate, and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. He was born in South Bend on Dec. 19, 1921, and spent most of his life in the Michiana area.
Surviving are two brothers, Leslie A. Ferguson of Osceola and Robert D. Ferguson of South Bend.
He was a member of the Harris Prairie Church of Christ, Granger, and had been a member of the American Turners of South Bend for 40 years. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 303 in South Bend.
