Ralph Dexter Edwards
MARION - Ralph D. Edwards, 85, passed away on Thursday, March 27, at 2:05 a.m. in the Park Villa Nursing Home, Marion. Ralph was born on July 22, 1922, in South Bend, to the late Harry and Hazel (Kolozar) Edwards. In December 1970 he married Stella (Kafka), who preceded him in death in 2004; he was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his son, William (Bonnie) Edwards of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Nancy (Robert) Aker of Seminole, FL; six grandchildren, Kevin Edwards, Nikki Edwards and Kristin (Virgil) McCarthy, all of South Bend, and Mary, Bobby and Johnny Aker, all of Florida; great-grandchildren, Erik Edwards, Katelyn, Christopher Bruce, all of South Bend, Gabby McCarthy of Springfield, MO; and many other great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Joseph Lodge #45.
