Betty Lou (Dunlap) Stemm

Betty Lou Stemm; 65, of 2462 Arrowhead Circle, Building 30, died at 1:55 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Stemm had been an employee of the South Bend Public Library for more than 13 years. She was born Nov. 20, 1921, in Franklin, IN, and had lived in South Bend most of her life, coming from Franklin. On Aug. 11, 1946, in South Bend, as Betty Lou Dunlap, she married Wayne Stemm, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Pauline Gleva of South Bend; a son, Kenneth W. of South Bend; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jones of Yuca Valley, CA., and Vera Norton of Franklin; and a brother, Oren Dunlap of Mishawaka. 

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Community Baptist Church. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. She was a charter member of the church and member of Genealogy Club of South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Baptist Church Christian School
