Walter L. Brehmer

Walter L. Brehmer, 64, of Germantown, Tenn., formerly of South Bend, died Dec. 26 in Freeport, Grand Bahamas, after an illness. Mr. Brehmer retired from Reliance Electric Co., Cleveland, Ohio. Ile was born Nov. 12, 1922, in South Bend, and lived in South Bend until 1944. His wife, the former Peggy Negel, survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Meredith Brehmer of Denver, Colo., and Peggy Hull of Bettendorf, Iowa; two sons, Thomas M. of San Jose, Calif., and David M. of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Patricia Bolka of South Bend; and a brother, John of South Bend.

Services were held Jan. 2 in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Memphis, Tenn. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Memphis. Memphis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Ile was a member of the Notre Dame Monogram Club and a veteran of World War II. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
