SOUTH BEND — Services for John D, Hooton, 66, of South Iron wood Drive, who died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday in his home, will be at 11 am. Saturday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, where Moose Lodge 58 will conduct services at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.

Mr. Hooton retired from Bendix Corp. as a machine operator. He was born June 2, 1926, in South Bend.

On July 27, 1972, in Grand Haven, Mich., he married Patricia Allen. She survives with two sisters, Jean Landers of Vista, Calif., and Barbara Ewers of New Carlisle.

He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Moose Lodge 58.
