Joseph Anthony Pusztai - Class Of 1945 VIEW PROFILE

Joseph Anthony Pusztai

Joseph Anthony Pusztai passed away peacefully March 1, 2023, at the age of 94.

Born June 3, 1928 in South Bend, he was the son of the late Joseph and Hermina (Yandl) Pusztai.

On February 1, 1958, Joseph married the love of his life, Billie Jean Himes. They just celebrated 65 wonderful years of marriage. She survives him. He is also survived by his brother, Richard (Sue) Pusztai; daughter, Kimberly Skupski; nieces, Lynn and Chris; other loving family members, Geoffrey, Kathy, Natalie and Noelle; and two very good friends, Ray and Pat Demski.

Joseph was a loving and devoted husband, father, and uncle. He was a proud Marine veteran and served during the Korean War. A hard worker all his life, he retired from St. Joseph Regional Medical Center as head of security. He was a devout Catholic, always active in his parish, and was most recently a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan. He lived a great life and is now at peace with the Lord.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 9, at 12:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior, at St. Pius X Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church or the Knights of Columbus.
