WILLIAM M. KENNA

SOUTH BEND - William M. Kenna, 92, died on Monday, January 15, in Akron, Ohio. William was born on June 28, 1914, in South Bend, to the late Julia and Joseph Kenna.

William was also preceded in death by two sisters, Irene and Ethel; and three brothers, Joseph, Paul and Edward.

William is survived by his wife, Virginia (Lewinski) Kenna; a daughter, Jill (Robert) Burnstine of Akron; a granddaughter, Randi (Lee) Scherr of Superior, Colorado; and a sister, Rosemary Megyese of South Bend.

William retired from the Bendix Corporation. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend, and was a U.S. Navy veteran during World War II.

A Mass of Christian Burial for William will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 20, in Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 19, in Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 North William Street, South Bend. Entombment will follow the Mass in the Highland Cemetery Mausoleum, South Bend. The family request memorial contributions be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 920 Wilber Street, South Bend, IN 46628; or to the donor's choice.
