MISHAWAKA - Helen T. Castleman, 93, died Friday, December 13, 2013 at Michiana Health & Rehabilitation Center in Mishawaka. The South Bend native was born October 12, 1920 to Joseph and Clara (Brzenski) Slazewski.

Helen graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1938 and on April 12, 1941 she married Harold Castleman in South Bend. Harold preceded her in death on October 19, 1993.

Helen retired from Osco and formerly worked at Walgreen's and Bruggner's. She was very family-oriented and enjoyed playing bingo and euchre.

Helen is survived by her sons, David (Sandra) Castleman of Granger and Michael (Marilyn) Castleman of Elkhart; her daughter, Peggy A. Winston of South Bend, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
