LONNIE E. (LONSTROM) MILLER

Lonnie Miller, 89, formerly of Kansas City, passed away January 13, 2010, at Lee's Summit Medical Center. Visitation will be held 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Entombment in the Faith Mausoleum in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, 5445 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS 66104 or charity of your choice.

Lonnie was born August 14, 1920, in South Bend, IN. She was a 1938 graduate of Central High School.

She was a Kansas City resident for over 50 years. Lonnie was an avid bridge player and a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. She loved her immediate and extended family dearly. Lonnie was a member of Second Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband R. Earl Miller in 2004.

She is survived by her daughter Judy Miller Petrie; son Butch Miller; daughter Jill Miller; sister Jeanne Marshall; five grandchildren Melissa, Melanie, Amy, Sam and Molly; six great-grandchildren Emily, Ian, Lexi, Aidan, Alex and Rowan; and many loving nieces and nephews.
