Walter G. Keener

Walter G. Keener, of 1032 Garden Lane, died in his home Saturday after three year’s illness. He was born in Detroit, MI. May 28, 1919 and came to South Bend in 1928 from Toledo, OH.

He was married to Marian J. Hartley, Oct.5, 1944 in East Chicago, IN.. She survives, Also surviving are a son, Bruce H., and a daughter, Betsy H., both at home; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter D. Keener, Chicago; and one sister, Mrs. F. H. Sosnoski, South Bend. He was an employe of the Bendix Products Division of Bendix Aviation Corp. From 1944 to 1955 he was an employe of the South Bend Bait Co.

Friends may call in the Forest. G. Hay. Funeral Home after noon today. Funeral services will be held in the funeral at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Kenneth Hemphill of the! First Methodist Church, officiating. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and of the! Free and Accepted Masons, Bend Lodge 294, F.A A.M. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of South Bend.
