MARY LOU (MYERS) SIATKOWSKI

SOUTH BEND - Mary Lou Siatkowski, 90, residing in Granger, Indiana, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2009, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born on September 28, 1919, in South Bend, IN, to Vern Porter and Gertrude (Metcalf) Myers, and remained a lifelong resident. On December 10, 1942, in South Bend, IN, she married Casimir J. Siatkowski, who preceded her in death on December 21, 1998.

Mrs. Siatkowski is survived by her son, Willis "Bill" W. (Judith) Siatkowski of Granger; two grandchildren, Amy (Mark) Schmitt of Charlestown, WVa., and Mark Siatkowski of Wichita, KS; three great-grandchildren, Stephen Siatkowski of Granger, Joseph and William Schmitt, both of Charlestown, WVa.; two sisters, Joanne and Joyce; and her brother, Don.

Mary Lou was employed with Marshall Fields for 18 years and also worked with J.C. Penney for many years. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing. Mary Lou also enjoyed traveling worldwide.

She was a 1939 graduate of South Bend Central High School.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2009, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM Tuesday until time of services in the funeral home.
