Ferdinand Nabicht - Class Of 1930 VIEW PROFILE

Ferdinand C. Nabicht

Ferdinand C. Nabicht, 56, co-owner of the Nabicht Bros. Cafeteria, 1415 Lincoln Way W., died at 2,:45 a.m. today in the Healthwin Hospital after an extended illness. Recently of Cassopolis, he was a native of South Bend and a 1930 graduate of Central High School. He was captain of the high school football team and made the University of Notre Dame squad while attending college there. He and his two brothers owned the former Town Club before establishing the Nabicht Bros. Cafeteria in 1950. He moved to Cassopolis in 1961. 

Born on June 6, 1911, in South Bend, he married Irene Drucker on July 4, 1961. She survives him along with a brother, Francis, two sisters, Miss Dorothy C. Nabicht and Mrs. Gertrude Tremel, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday in the Hickey Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church. Rev. Victor J. Boisvert, C.S.C., of Holy Cross House, Notre Dame, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. The family asks that all memorials be given to the American Cancer Society.
