She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marquette University in 1941. Harriet was bilingual in Polish and English, and studied Latin, French and Russian. She enjoyed flower gardening and watching Lawrence Welk. In recent years she avidly watched the news, keeping up on local, state and national news and weather. Most of all, Harriet was dedicated to her family. They were the center of her life.
