Lt, Commander Harry Edward Massingill
Lt, Commander Harry Edward Massingill, 37, died Friday night when his car plunged into the Braden River near Bradenton, He was a resident of St. Petersburg, residing at 535 35th Avenue Northeast. A native of South Bend, IN., he was a helicopter pilot stationed at the St. Petersburg Coast Guard Station. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Elks Lodge of Wilmington, IN.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite, and a son, Douglas Lewis, both of St, Petersburg, and two brothers.
Services will be held in the Wilhelm Funeral Home Chapel at 3 pm, today, Chaplain Westlake and Dr. H. Paul Guhse will officiate, The funeral party will leave for South Bend following the service Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C
