Russell V. Hupp

Russell V. Hupp. aged 42, widely known organist In South Bend and Chicago, died suddenly at 6 p. m. Wednesday of a heart attack in his apartment, 4059 West North avenue, Chicago. Although he had been ill for several weeks he had been working.

He was born in South Bend Feb. 11, 1908, and lived here until 1934. He was an organist in various theaters in Chicago and taught organ in that city. He held a masters degree in music from the Chicago Musical college.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer C. Hupp, of South Bend: a sister, Mrs. Marjorie Hine of South Bend; and a brother, Major Farrell E. Hupp, with the Army in Guam. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Chicago, and the musicians union in Chicago.

Friends may call in the Hay Funeral home here after 3pm. Friday.
