Clara M. (Zakrzewski) Nowak
Clara M. Nowak, 59, of 6118 Oldham, died in her residence at 7 p m. Wednesday after a five-year illness She was born Aug. 16, 1918, in South Bend and lived here all her life.
On Sept. 19. 1941, as Clara Zakrzewski, she married Matthew J. Nowak, who died Dec. 27, 1975. Surviving are four sons, Paul J. of Minot, N.D., Robert E. of Pittsburgh, David M., and Thomas M., both of South Bend; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Marlin of Syracuse, and Mrs. Patricia Mirky of South Bend, and a brother, Joseph of South Bend.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p m. today in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Jude's Catholic Church, Rev Edward A. Narcowich, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mrs. Nowak was a member of the Neighborhood Bible Study Group. A Bible wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
