MISHAWAKA - Eleanore R. Adelo, 96, of Mishawaka, formerly of South Bend, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014, in Tanglewood Trace. Eleanore was born August 6, 1917, in South Bend, to Paul M. and Anna M. (Nemeth) Szabo.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Rose McGann, Anne Curzytek, Wilma Melton and Elizabeth Horvath; four brothers, Louis Sabo, Frank Szabo, Joseph Szabo and Paul Szabo.

Eleanore is survived by two nephews, Louis Sabo and Michael Sabo; three nieces, Virginia Sabo, June Sabo and Marilyn LeRoy.

She was a graduate of Central High School. Eleanore had worked most of her life as a bookkeeper. She was very generous in giving donations to many organizations, such as Audubon Society, Nature & Wildlife Association, and many others. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Highland Cemetery (Mausoleum), with Fr. Kevin Bauman officiating. Entombment will follow after service. Welsheimer Family Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. Family and friends may leave e-mail condolences at www.welsheimer.com.
