LOIS (PRICE) SWEANY

SOUTH BEND - Lois Sweany, 96, of Deerton, Michigan, died Sunday afternoon, April 7, 2013, at her home, with her family by her side. She was born June 30, 1916, in South Bend, IN, a daughter of the late Milford and Vera (O'Dell) Price.

Lois was a 1934 graduate of Central High School.

She attended Beauty College and had taken some secretarial courses. Lois was employed as an executive secretary for the Indiana-Michigan Electric Company. Following retirement, she moved to Leesburg, FL where she resided for 25 years. In 2007 she moved to Deerton, MI to be near her son and his family.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Kim Spencer officiating. Interment will take place in Highland Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UPAWS, 84 Snowfield Road, Negaunee, MI 49866 or UP Home Health & Hospice, 829 Croix Street, Negaunee, MI 49866.
