Joseph C. Nabicht

Joseph C. Nabicht, 98, a native of South Bend and former operator of a local restaurant, died Saturday at a hospital in Ventura, Calif. He was the owner of a Ventura motel. Mr. Nabicht was born on May 9, 1915 in South Bend. He moved to California in 1958. His death followed a brief illness. While in South Bend, he operated the Chicken in the Rough Restaurant. He served in the Army during World War II.

In 1942, he was married to Viola Glory Wise of Niles, who survives. Also surviving are his father. Otto F. Nabicht, San Gabriel. CA: three brothers, Francis B. and Charles E. Nabicht, both of South Bend, and Ferd C. Nabicht, Cassopolis' and two sisters, Mrs. Ralph C. Tremel and Miss Dorothy Nabicht, both of South Bend.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hickey Funeral. Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross' Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial, Park. Pallbearers will be Paul Listek, William Brien, John McCauslin, Kenneth Tubbs, James Lower and Al Rankin.

Mr. Nabicht was a member of the Ventura Council of the Knights of Columbus. The rosary will be recited for him
at 7:30 p.m, Tuesday in the Hickey Funeral Home.
