HERBERT W. KRUEGER, 96, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012. Born Feb. 23, 1916, in South Bend, he was a son of the late Herbert M. and Bertha Krueger.

After graduating from South Bend Central High School, he worked as a dental technician for the Keith Dental Laboratory and then for the Allen Dental Laboratory, Fort Wayne. He was twice elected for President of Indiana Commercial Dental Labs.

In 1986, he and his son, Fredrick opened the Krueger Dental Laboratory and served the profession until 2006. He had the honor of being the first President of the Fort Wayne Astronomical Society.

Surviving are his daughter, Kay J. Evans of Fort Wayne; son, Fredrick L. (Beth) Krueger of Snow Lake; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia M. Krueger, in 2009.

Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave., Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial in the Greenlawn Memorial Park.
