GERALDINE R. (HELT) SCHOSKER

June 14, 1917 - June 25, 2009
SOUTH BEND - Geraldine R. Schosker, 92, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, in Southfield Village, South Bend. She was born on June 14, 1917, in South Bend, IN, to Benjamin C. and Lydia (Schneider) Helt.

Mrs. Schosker is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Thomas) Thompson DeCocker of Vandalia, MI; four grandchildren, Mindy (Mark Pittman) Glad, Tiffney (CW3 Jason, currently serving in Iraq) Boren, Matthew Boren and Courtney (Devon) Nichols; six great-grandchildren, Shane Glad, Dusty Pittman, Lane Nichols, Ellis Nichols, Jack Boren and Grant Boren; two great-great-grandchildren, Branden Pittman and Bradey Pittman; and sister, Maryellen (Jim) Roessler of Dowagiac, MI.

A daughter, Pamela (VanGilder) Boren, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Schosker was a lifelong resident of South Bend. She was a graduate of Central High School and a member of the Zion United Church of Christ.

Mrs. Schosker was the former manager for Consumer Credit Counseling and retired from the Wesco Company.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 29, in Zion United Church of Christ, 715 E. Wayne, South Bend. Rev. David Gerth will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-6:00 p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, and from 10:00-10:30 a.m. Monday in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zion United Church of Christ, 715 E. Wayne St., South Bend, IN 46617.
