Bernice B. (Harris) Michels Davis

Bernice B. Michels Davis, 85, of Naples, FL, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2002 in Naples Community Hospital. She was born September 2, 1917 in South Bend, IN to Willard and Mary (Semortier) Harris. On April 1, 1995 she married Mills K. Davis who died on May 13, 2002.

Bernice is survived by a daughter, Betty Ann (Frank) Holden of Splendora, TX; five sons, Richard (Terry) Michels of Flintstone, MD, William (Diane) Michels of Indianapolis, IN; Robert (Dawn) Michels of Wolcottville, IN, Jeffery (Kimber) Michels of South Bend, IN and Daniel (Nance) Michels of Naples, FL. Also surviving is a step-daughter, Linda Kay Block of Burbank, CA; two step-sons, Richard (Vivian) Davis of Ann Arbor, MI; and Thomas (Iris) Davis of Dayton, OH; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2002 in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, South Bend, Rev. Terry Fisher will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Friday in the church. Memorial contributions may he give to the American Heart Association, 2410 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Arrangements are being made by Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN.
