Mary A. Pfleger Williams

Mary A. Williams, 70, died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday (March 3, 1996) at Heritage Manor, Bloomington.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Williams; three daughters, Judy S. Miller and Carolyn M. Mardis, both of Danvers; and Janet K. Gullett, Hopedale; three sons, Michael T., Alan R., and Andrew J., all of Bloomington; two sisters, Margaret Simpson, Spotsylvania, Penn.; and Kathleen Cooper, Cherry Valley, Calif.; one brother, Joseph Pfleger, Phoenix, Ariz.; eight granddaughters; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Mrs. Williams was born May 16, 1925, at Lafeyette, Ind., a daughter of Leonard and Agnes Anderson Pfleger. She married Richard Williams June 15, 1946, in Long Beach, Calif.

She was a member of the St. Patrick of Merna Church, Bloomington, and the Sangamon Valley Waves, Springfield.

Mrs. Williams attended St. Joseph Grade School and Central High School, both of South Bend, Ind. She worked as a nanny in Bloomington-Normal.

She served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1946, during World War II.
