Louis J. Lawton Sr.

Louis .J. Lawton Sr., 57, of 2517 Royal Vista Terrace, died at 2 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital. He was a self-employed salesman of industrial chemicals. Born March 3,1928, in Berrien Springs, Mr. Lawton lived in the South Bend area most of his life.

He is survived by a daughter, Mary K Sharpe of Niles; a son, Louis J. Jr. of Granger; two grandchildren; and four brothers, James of Thornetown, Ind., Roy and John, both of South Bend, and Edward of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, and burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Mr. Lawton was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Knollwood Country Club.
