SOUTH BEND - Joyce M. Fisher, 82, of South Bend, IN passed away at 6:50 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 at Hospice House. She was born on January 1, 1929 to Raymond and Louise (Cenkush) Fisher, who preceded her in death.

Joyce graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1947.

While at school, she made lifelong friends that held yearly reunions until 2010. These friends included Marietta Place, Betty Bowers and Debbie Russell of Indiana, Margie Koester of IL, Gloria Evon of CA, Tommye Nolan of MI. Betty Kollar and Nila Simms, who recently have passed, were also in the group. Joyce worked for forty-two years for NIPSCO, starting after graduating from high school. She led a full life, enjoyed golfing, bowling, cards and going to the "boat" to play the slots. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Bowlers Country Club. She attended St. Peter's United Church of Christ.

There will be no services. Cremation has take place and Joyce will be interred at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend are assisting with the arrangements.
