Carl F. Gombor

SOUTH BEND — Carl F. Gombor, '74, of Fairborn, Ohio, formerly of South Bend, died Thursday in his home. Mr. Gombor retired as an electrical engineer at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton. Mr. Gombor was born Aug. 17, 1917, in South Bend.

In 1942, he married Ruth Green. She died in 1987. He is survived by a daughter, Carol E. O'Ferrell of Covelo, Calif.; a son, Carl F. Jr. of Glen Burnie, Md.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Irene Wartha of South Bend.

Services were held Sunday in Burcham Funeral Home, Fairborn. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dayton Amateur Radio Association Scholarship Fund.
