Francis A. "Frank" Gruza 
COLDWATER — Francis A. "Frank" Gruza, 62, of 275 N. Fiske Road, died Sunday in Veterans Administration Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Ind., after a long illness. He was born in South Bend, IN., and moved to Coldwater 21 years ago. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and formerly was employed by the old Studebaker Motor Corp. and was manager of a service station on the Indiana toll road.

He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Coldwater Knights of Columbus Council 2900, and in South Bend, was a member of the Military Order of Cooties Lodge 1167, American Legion Post 50 and VFW Post 8748, where he originated the drill team.

Surviving are his wife, the former Lillian Preiczer, sons James A. and Frances E., both of Coldwater, and John F. Gruza of Davenport, Iowa; a daughter, Jacqueline Gruza of Coldwater; two grandchildren; and brothers George and Donald Gruza, both of South Bend. .

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Hungary Church in South Bend. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation. Arrangements are by Dutcher Funeral Home.
