PATRICIA L. TOLLENS

Patricia L. Tollens March 17, 1928 - April 2, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Patricia L. Tollens, 87, of South Bend, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. She was born on March 17, 1928, in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Firman and Caroline (Held) Tollens. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John L. Tollens.

Patricia is survived by a sister-in-law, Diane Tollens of Evanston, IL.

She graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1945 and went on to Ball State, where she graduated in 1950. In 1957 she earned her Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin. Miss Tollens worked as an elementary school teacher for the South Bend Community School Corporation until retiring in 1990. She was a member of the First Unitarian Church, South Bend, The National Education Association, I.S.T.A. Retired Teachers Association, St. Joseph County Retired Educators and the American Association of University Women (AAUW). Private burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
