Beverly Mae Rossin May

Beverly May, 68, the president of a wood products company and a longtime resident of Highland Park and Ocean Reef, Fla., died Saturday at her home in Florida.

Originally from Indiana, Mrs. May came to the Chicago area after her marriage in 1949 and lived in both Highland Park and Florida for the last 14 years. She was president of Gordon S. May Ltd., a wood products wholesale company founded by her husband, Gordon, from 1987 until her death. Mrs. May was on the Women's Board of the Chicago Symphony and was also an amateur artist who worked with silk dyes and watercolors.

She is also survived by a son, Bradford; a daughter, Susan Knapp; a sister; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Florida. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Weinstein Brothers Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., in Wilmette.
