JAMES H. JOHNSON

James Harold Johnson, of Lake Forest, IL died at his summer home in Baileys Harbor, WI on Friday, September 14th, the date on which he was born 80 years ago. There was a large breakfast birthday party planned for him that very morning. Jim was born in Grayville (White County), IL on September 14, 1927 to Clara and Harold Johnson.

He graduated from Central High School in South Bend, IN in 1946, and received an electrical engineering degree from Purdue University in 1950. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1963.

He was Sales Manager for Knowles Electronics for 10 years and President of Zenith Hearing Aid Corporation from 1970 to 1981.

He was married to Mary Ann Christensen on November 22, 1953. They lived in Hinsdale for 10 years and in Lake Forest from 1972 to the present. In addition to his wife, Mary Ann, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law Dr. Chris and Julie Johnson; and granddaughter Suzannah of Minnetrista, MN, and daughter Lisa Johnson and grandson, Erik of Lake Forest, IL.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 18th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E. Vine Avenue, Lake Forest, IL. Church Services will be held on Wednesday, September 19th at Faith Lutheran Church, 688 W. Deerpath, Lake Forest at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery.
