SOUTH BEND -- Richard Adrian Walters, 84, passed away Saturday morning in his home.

Richard worked in sales for a chemical and office equipment company. He was born on July 26, 1922, in South Bend, to the late Ezra and Hazel (Davis) Walters and had lived in this area all of his life.

On November 18, 1943, in South Bend, he married Betty Jane (Pulley) Walters, who survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Alene Leer of South Bend and Audrey Clark of Toledo, OH; and one stepbrother, Frank Olis of South Bend.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007, in the Palmer Funeral Home -- River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. South Bend. Friends may call from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Richard was a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of the Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge.
