Marilynn Reeves Proctor

ROCTOR, MARILYNN REEVES Marilynn Reeves Proctor, age 89, of Springboro, OH, and formerly of Orange, CT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4th, 2013, at home with her family.

Marilynn was born in South Bend, IN on September 1st, 1923, to Ford Reeves and Vera (Derva) Cooper. Marilynn attended St. Mary's College in South Bend. While at college, she met the love of her life, Joseph Frank Proctor. Joseph and Marilynn were married in South Bend and spent 66 wonderful years together before Joseph passed away in 2009.

Joe and Marilynn ventured from CT in 1978 and settled in Springboro. They enjoyed spending winters relaxing in Fort Lauderdale. Marilynn served as a volunteer at Sycamore Hospital for 13 years and at the Therapeutic Riding Institute. She was also a member of the Sycamore Creek Country Club. Her other great loves were flea marketing and taking her motorhome for a spin. Marilynn's (Nana's) pride and joys have been her beloved grandchildren and now her three great grandchildren.

She is survived by 3 dear sons, Joseph Ford Proctor, David Scott Proctor and wife Judy, Bradley Craig Proctor and wife Michelle; 4 wonderful grandchildren Amy (Sean) Quirin, Erik (Christie) Proctor, Tracey Proctor, and Shannon Proctor; 3 great grandchildren, Owen, Easton and Eloise and beloved companion, Daisy the chihuahua; and of course many dear friends and neighbors in Ohio, Connecticut, Indiana, and Florida.

The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Garland and Lisa Pergrem of SureCare, Hospice of Dayton (especially Sherry, Lisa, Julie and Erin) for the care given over the last two years, and the ceaseless devotion of her extended "family" of loving care providers: Christianna Decosier, Kim Lewis, Joanna Crone and Cheyenne (two legs) Smith. She will especially be missed by her dear friends Jan and Jim Hayden of Springboro and her loving daughter-in-law, Michelle Hayden Proctor.

Funeral services are Thursday, August 8th at 1pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 N Main St, Springboro, OH. The service will be performed by Chaplain Ral Concha. Burial will be in Michigan at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be noon to 1pm on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Therapeutic Riding Institute of Dayton. Please visit www.anderson-fh.com to send an online condolence.
