Thomas E. Stillson

Thomas E. Stillson, 75, of 1121 E. LaSalle Street, South Bend, Ind., formerly of 32nd Street, South Bend, passed away at 2:25 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, in the Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend. Thomas was born on Aug. 14, 1921, in Bremen, Ind., to the late Thomas D. and Letha Stinson.

Thomas married Lila K. Luce in South Bend on June 30, 1947. She preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 1976. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon K. (Wilbur) Wiles of Mishawaka, Ind., and Connie L. Hursh of Niles, Mich.; six grandchildren, Steven G. (Carolyn) Dickson of Elkhart, Ind., Michael T. (Julie) Dickson of Mishawaka. Lisa M. (Michael) Gerndt of Granger, Ind., Jeffery L. Hodges of South Bend, Kristie L. Hodges of Mishawaka and Teri A. Senff of Niles; and by six great-grandchildren, Rebecca A. Dickson, Tabitha L. Dickson, Samantha L. Dickson and Victoria L. Dickson, all of Elkhart, Holly M. Whiteford of Granger and Kaycee L. Preissing of Mishawaka.

Thomas was a veteran of World War II in the Air Force. He attended the Twin City Baptist Church of Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, with Rev. Kelly Reynolds officiating. Burial will take place in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360 will conduct military rites at the graveside.
