ANNA P. (PSARAKIS)  DOXAS

Anna P. Doxas (nee Psarakis) Merrillville Anna P. Doxas (nee Psarakis) of Merrillville, fell asleep and went to the Lord on Saturday, February 7, 2004. She was born in Koutouloufari, Liamani Hersonisos, Crete.

She was the devoted and loving wife of 61 years to Stylianos (Steve) G. Doxas who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents John and Mary (Mastorakis) Psarakis, sister Katherine (Furos) and brother George.

She was a graduate of Central High School, South Bend College of Commerce and also attended I.U. Northwest.

She was employed at the Department of Defense in the Procurement Dept. at the Studebaker Corp. She married her husband Steve at St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church in South Bend. Anna and her husband owned and operated the Waffle Shop and The Chili Bowl Restaurants in Gary. She was a member of SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, The Daughters of Penelope Chapter #81 and volunteer for various philanthropic organizations such as Easter Seals and The American Heart Associaiton. Anna was the loving and dedicated mother to George S. (Caroline) Doxas Maria S. Doxas-Constantinides, Joan S. Doxas and Katherine D. (Charles) Webster.

Most loving and caring grandmother to Ana Maria, Steven, Michael, Stylianos, Amalia and George. She was loved by many Nieces and Nephews, God Children, Cousins and Friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Directly at SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 8000 Madison, Merrillville. Reverend Theodore Poteres, officiating. Burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may call at the Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Trisagion Prayer Service will be offered Monday at 6:15 p.m. In memory of Mrs. Doxas, memorial donations may be made to SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. MAY HER MEMORY BE ETERNAL
