Letha F. (Laughman) Price

SOUTH BEND - Letha F. Price, 94, of Granger, formerly of South Bend, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016, in her residence at the Hearth at Juday Creek. Letha was born May 21, 1922 in South Bend, to the late Clarence and Catherine (Wyland) Laughman. On February 14, 1942, in South Bend, Letha Laughman married Donald Louis Price who passed away October 5, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Maxine Kuespert, and two brothers, George Laughman and Robert “Bud” Laughman.

Letha is survived by her daughters, Janet O'Neill of South Bend and Elizabeth (David) Werve of Lilburn, Georgia, son, Robert L. (Connie) Price of South Bend, seven grandchildren; Lori (Brian) Hester, Jennifer Price, Robert Price Jr., Erin O'Neill, Ryan (Jennifer) O'Neill, Natalie Werve, and Michael Werve, five great-grandchildren; Mackenzie Hester, Alexis Hester, Abigail Hester, Kaden Gorny, and Christopher O'Neill, three brothers; Clarence “Gus” (Norma) Laughman of Tucson, AZ, Neil Laughman of South Bend, and Gene (Dorothy) Laughman of South Bend, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Letha worked twenty years at The Torrington Company district sales office, as an office manager, and Sibley's for three years as a secretary. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, and the Moose Ladies Auxiliary. Letha enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family at gatherings, playing cards and Yahtzee. She was deeply loved by her whole family and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 4th, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, with Rev. Michael Couhig of Holy Cross Catholic Church officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. Friday until the time of services at 1:00. Cremation will take place at Welsheimer Crematory, with burial at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA., next to her husband Donald.
