Waneta Mae (Kimmel) Quimby

Waneta Mae Quimby, 84, passed away at her home in Florence, CO, on October 5, 2006. She was born on February 14, 1922, in South Bend, IN, to Cecil and Lola Kimmel. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harold Hoyt Quimby; a daughter, Gloria Dawn (Jack) Yeazel of Laguna Vista, TX; a son, Verne (Marge) Quimby of Sedalia, CO; four grandsons, Brian Fuqua of New York, NY, Todd Quimby and Troy Quimby of Littleton, CO, and Gregory Fuqua of Park City, UT; and a brother, Richard Kimmel of South Bend, IN. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ida Wurtsbaugh, and brother, Raymond Kimmel.

Visitation will be at 12:30 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at Bridge To Life Assembly of God Church, located at 222 N. Orchard (Orchard & Royal Gorge) in Canon City, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM, with Reverend Larry Kettle officiating. Interment will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 12, 2006, at Olinger Highland Cemetery in Northglenn, CO (104th & 1-25). In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Waneta Quimby may be made to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 1439 Main Street, Canon City, CO. Arrangements are handled by Holt Family Funeral Home, Canon City, CO
