Janice (Jackson) Vance

Janice Jackson Vance, 63, of 1113 Clermont, died at 4:45 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an extended illness. Born Jan. 31, 1922, in South Bend, she was a lifetime resident. On March 15, 1947, in South Bend, as Janice Jackson, she married Gilbert L. Vance, former senior vice president of First Source Bank; he survives. Also surviving are two sons, David L. of North Liberty and Thomas J. of Fort Knox, Ky.; a granddaughter; and a sister, Charlotte Prass of East Lansing, MI.

Private services will be held Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William. Entomb- ment will follow in All Faith's Chapel, Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m..today. Mrs. Vance was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Junior League, Service Guild, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Morris Park Country Club, and the Summit Club. She was a 1944 graduate of DePauw Univrsity, and was affiliated with Tri Delta sorority.
