Dorothy L. Sausman

SOUTH BEND — Dorothy L. Sausman, 71, of 19812 Southland Ave., died at 3:15 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Sausman was a former office manager for South Bend Elks Club and retired in 1987 as bookkeeper for the St. Joseph County Parks Department. She was born Sept. 15, 1921, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On Aug. II, 1967, in South Bend, she married Dean Sausman. He survives with four daughters, Sandra Sue Westerhouse, Patricia Ann Packer and Dianna Billhimer, all of South Bend, and Jodeane Hoffer of Richmond, Ky.; a son, Jerry L. Brady of Ukiah, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a half sister, Nancy Me!cher of Atlanta.

She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 2 and Orak Shrine Club.

Services will be at 11 am. Monday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
