Marjorie M (Ellis) Scott

Marjorie M. Scott Marjorie M. Scott, 63, of 1021 S. 30th St. died at 7:11 p.m. Sunday in Memorial hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1921, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On May 16, 1942, in South Bend, as Marjorie Ellis, she married Vern G. Scott Jr., who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Susan Milbourn of South Bend and Peggy Akin of Mishawaka; a son, Richard of North Liberty; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Swick, Donna Przybysz, and Dorothy Hagerty, all of South Bend, and Mary Nye of Chicago: and a brother, James Ellis of South Bend.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Mrs. Scott was a member of Schuyler Colfax Chapter of Daughters of American Revolution, Delta Theta Chi Sorority, Beta Chapter, South Bend and Marshall County Genealogical societies, and Coquillard Questers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
