JOAN T. (MCGLINCHEY) HERMAN

Joan T. Herman April 26, 1935 - March 19, 2014 MISHAWAKA - Joan T Herman, 78, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, in her home. Joan was born April 26, 1935, in Indianapolis, to the late John and Hazel (Rosenberg) McGlinchey.

On Septemeber 11, 1959, Joan married Robert Herman, who preceded her in death. Joan was also preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Jack McGlinchey, and sister, Lucy Lowrance.

Survivors of Joan include her children, Robert G. (Janet) Herman Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Cynthia (James) Horvath of South Bend, and granddaughters, Dana Horvath and AJ Kruszewski of South Bend, Amber Herman and fiance, Kurt Herzer, Lisa (Mig) King, Dawn Horvath and Butch Long, Danell (Ben) Werling and Elizabeth Horvath; and nine great-grandchildren.

Joan was a graduate of Central High School and was a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Matthew.

She was the owner /operator of the Erskine Food Service; she had great passion and enjoyment in catering for wedding receptions. She enjoyed golfing, painting, playing Euchre and Poker with her close friends, and visiting Lake Michigan. Joan loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She very much looked forward to her granddaughter vacations.

Visitation for Joan will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2014, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 Ireland Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 22, 2014, in the Cathedral of St. Matthew.
